Description: Interleukin-2, also known as leukocyte interleukin-2 (IL-2) or T cell growth factor (TCRF), is a cytokine with broad biological activity, primarily produced by activated CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells. It acts as a growth factor for all T cell subsets, enabling T cells to survive for extended periods in vitro and promoting the proliferation of activated B cells. Therefore, it plays an important role in regulating immune responses and is also involved in antibody responses, hematopoiesis, and tumor surveillance. This product is made from a prokaryotic expression system (E. coli) that efficiently expresses the human IL-2 gene, followed by fermentation, isolation, and high purification, then lyophilized. It consists of a polypeptide chain with 134 amino acid residues and has a molecular weight of 15.5 kDa. To enhance protein stability and prevent disulfide bond formation, the cysteine at position 125 has been replaced with alanine. Source: Escherichia Coli.
