Description: Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is a cytokine cloned from mouse and human liver cells. The spatial structure of IL-18 is formed by 12 β-strands, creating a B-trefoil fold, which is similar to the spatial structure of the IL-1 protein family. IL-18 can stimulate T cell proliferation, enhance the activity of natural killer cells, participate in cytokine production, and cooperate synergistically with interleukin-12. This product is derived from a mammalian cell expression system (HEK293) containing the gene for human IL-18, which is fermented, isolated, highly purified, and then lyophilized. It consists of 157 amino acid residues and has a molecular weight of 18 kDa. Source: HEK293
