This supplement is a component of our Fibroblast Growth Medium Set (Cat.: CM010C). It is designed to be used in conjunction with Basal Fibroblast Growth Medium (Cat.: CM010). 2-Mercaptoethanol (also known as beta-mercaptoethanol or BME) is a potent reducing agent used in cell culture medium to prevent toxic levels of oxygen radicals. 2-Mercaptoethanol is not stable in cell culture medium so most medium require daily supplementation. MACGENE 2-Mercaptoethanol is made at 50 mM in Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS). Suggested concentration: 0.05 mM
